The Venture Club of Louisville was formed in1995 to bring entrepreneurs and investors together in a professional but relaxed forum. The monthly meetings offer both groups the opportunity to make valuable contacts, exchange infor-mation, and pursue mutual business opportunities. An important purpose of the Club is to help facilitate and encourage the expansion of business and commercial investment activities in the region.
Luncheon meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at The Galt House from 11:30 to 1:30 PM EST. An informal social time begins at 11:30 AM EST.
Each meeting features:

One-minute announcements by fledgling entrepreneurs or announcements about upcoming activities and programs relevant to members.

Five-minute presentations by entrepreneurs interested in obtaining capital to start up or support growth and expansion of their businesses. The Presenter has five minutes to speak and two minutes for questions and answers.

First person entrepreneurial success stories or a guest speaker who discusses venture or financing issues or trends affecting the climate for entrepreneurs.

Membership is open to professional venture capitalists, private investors, investment bankers, commercial bankers, entrepreneurs, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and others involved in the investment community. Special events are held by the club from time to time such as seminars to help strengthen and grow the entrepreneur.
The Venture Club of Louisville is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization. Annual dues of $295 include the monthly luncheons, the monthly newsletter and a membership directory. For those who wish to be part of the Club, but reside more than 50 miles from Louisville, an Associate Membership is offered for $65 annually. An Associate receives the newsletter, has access to the online membership directory, and may attend an unlimited number of meetings at the membership guest fee of $30. A Membership Application is available on this site. The Venture Club has a Student Table which presently is sponsored by Chrysalis Ventures and River Cities Capital.
