As some may or my not know, U of L has an Entrepreneurial MBA and a major portion of that curriculum is doing industry competitive analysis and developing business plans. Over the last month Conexus has been busy training our new partner Xperianz, with offices and clients in seven metro areas including Louisville, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh, and implementing our new customers. Initial feedback regarding Conexxus software from one user is "that everything is very easy and no issues have been reported.
We are moving into the banking market due to their heavy existing compliance and regulatory issues (SOX 404, BSA, AML, etc.) and the expected issuance of new regulations on the heals of the sub-prime mortgage scandal. Banks and bank consultants have shown significant interest in seeing the software in our initial targeting of local contacts. The banking market is large on a national level and represents roughly 45% of the 13,000 public companies in the US.
Over the past 3 Years our Company has developed the most dynamic digital marketing and communications system to be introduced into the U.S. medical industry in decades.

During 2007 we met 8 of 9 milestones from our 2006 business plan. The ninth milestone is currently being pursued and our plan is being updated. Some of our key successes in 2007 included: closing of a friends and family equity round, winning an ICC concept grant from the state, building of the core software from scratch, closing of 2 software sales in establishing a sales funnel for 2008, hired 6 key personnel and signed a partnership agreement with a 20 year old enterprise content management provider to be their compliance monitoring add-on tool. As we look to 2008, we have several large and exciting things we are working on, but look to raise equity in the late Q2 to Q4 of 2008 time frame. We currently expect this funding round to be in the $1.0 to $1.5 million range. We look forward to keeping you posted on our progress.

Your Participation Is Request to Increase Flight Service
Greater Louisville Inc. has again partnered with the Regional Airport Authority in an effort to proactively increase Louisville's flight service. To that end, GLI and the Airport have compiled a survey aimed at collecting data on the demand of the local market and identifying voids in current service. The Airport will use the survey responses to approach carriers, demonstrate the market's needs and negotiate service increases. Last year a similar effort generated significant community participation and was used to attract direct service to Denver, Raleigh-Durham, Kansas City and Boston.
GLI has specifically asked members of the Venture Club to revisit their participation in the air service survey. The survey is short and will take approximately 5 - 8 minutes. Please click here to fill out the survey. Also, please feel free to pass on the survey to your contacts that are frequent travelers. Contact Bobby Ferreri with any questions.

One of the impacts of the current business environment is the increased need for user mobility. Employees and managers are more mobile than anytime in the past. A study from Sage Research in September 2005 indicates that approximately 27% of employees of IP-enabled companies travel at least once per month. Another study from IDC indicates that more than 70% of the total US workforce (and 25% of global workforce) will be made up of mobile workers by 2009. These workers need to have their communications tools (cell phone, unified messaging, internet access, etc…) with them at all times to conduct business operations.
Unified Messaging is the integration of several different communications media, such that users will be able to retrieve and send voice, fax, and e-mail messages from a single interface, whether it be a wireline phone, wireless phone, PC, or Internet-enabled PC. Contact Marc Joos to learn more about how Unified communications can impact the changing needs that many business owners are facing today.

I am forming a partnership and seeking Investors to participate investing in Commercial Real Estate, primarily Retail Centers in Kentucky and surrounding states.
I am looking for small investors that we jointly can pool our money together to acquire income producing Retail Centers. My goal was to raise $400,000 and I currently have $300,000 and have 2 investment positions left. I realize there are risk in all business ventures. However I minimize this by purchasing stabilized centers in good locations that have national tenants with long-term leases. These are low risk monthly income producing properties. Many will be shadow anchored by Wal-Mart or Krogers. As you know, there are thousands of Wal-Marts scattered across the U.S.
I consider this investment a diversification or alternative choice from the equity market. I believe like many people, that Commercial Real Estate is more stable and reliable than many other investments.

Casey Jenkins invented Comfort Zone after his wife battled a serious illness and had trouble keeping warm. Comfort Zone is a portable blanket warmer that offers an affordable solution to what is currently available only in larger hospitals. Comfort Zone is perfect for markets such as: Emergency Services , MRI clinics, hospitals, Nursing and Assisted Living, Veterinary and Disaster Relief.
Initial sales effort has produced excellent results giving us considerable confidence in the salability of Comfort Zone. For example we are currently discussing introducing Comfort Zone into the Mayo clinic, Duke medical, veterinary conglomerates and several large nursing home operators. Comfort Zone is seeking angel capital to capture the market quickly and run marketing, production and new product development concurrently. We are available to discuss the potential with any interested parties.

My name is Jim Wallace and I am a professional photographer. All amateur and most professional photo equipment have built in obsolescence, and every camera built with on board flash is bad or worse. Everyone has experienced the red eyes, the white glare where the face should be, or missed the shot totally because the new tech camera was doing something else. I have developed a lighting system called Light on a Stick. This system can bring about a global change in electronic flash photography by solving the primary electronic flash problems of all cameras as well as providing infinite creative opportunities. It will work equally well for world class professionals or the challenged amateur photographer. I predict it will become standard on board system for every camera because it works and consumers are accustomed to buying new cameras frequently. I am seeking help in all aspects of bringing the Light on a Stick System to the world market.

Track-u-later is a hand-held devise that allows its user to calculate the cost of complex, exotic pari-mutuel wagers allowing them to better understand and plan bets. Currently, the only way to obtain the cost of such bets is to stand in a long betting line and simply ask the attendant to calculate it for you. In addition to its calculation feature, the original Track-u-lator includes a racing glossary with over 200 entries, a reference guide of all Triple Crown winners and a trivia game to test knowledge and generate conversation.
In January 2006 with a $25,000 Rural Level I grant from the Kentucky Science and Technology Center a provisional patent was filed and an alpha prototype was built. The company is now seeking funds to develop the beta prototypes, obtain the utility patents for both generations of Track-u-lator and develop a marketing/business/production plan.
